Key Responsibilities

• Review and amend single-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC electrical schematics, wiring diagrams as well as civil and electrical drawings.
• Engage in stakeholder management, providing support for current and planned projects.
• Ensure designs are compliant with all relevant codes and industry standards and best practices.
• Attend field visits to aid in the assessment of land/assets to ensure general alignment with design packages.
• Support engineering based calculations and appropriate budgeting resources.
• Experienced with Autocad, MicroStation, and GIS.
• Assists in the review of low, medium, and high voltage designs.

Competencies

• Graduate from an accredited college or university with either an Electrical Technologist, Electromechanical Technologist, or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree. Other backgrounds with a concentration in Energy Systems Engineering can be considered as well in tandem with design experience.
• Valid Class "G" Drivers license in the Province of Ontario
• Experience with Microstations and/or Autocad for drafting and design review.
• Experience with GIS, DMS, and SCADA is preferred
