Position Overview:

Our Training & Development team is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable RIBO Trainer to lead the training of new insurance brokers preparing for the RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) licensing exam. This role is critical to the success of our brokerage's onboarding program and plays a key part in shaping the future of our Sales and Service teams.

The RIBO Trainer will deliver structured training programs, develop engaging course materials, administer quizzes and mock exams, and guide trainees through the RIBO registration and examination process. You will collaborate closely with key departments, including Recruitment, IT, Sales, and Service, to ensure seamless training experience and high trainee performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, instructor-led training sessions (in-person and virtual) to prepare trainees for the RIBO licensing exam
  • Develop and update training materials, presentations, quizzes, and mock exams aligned with the RIBO curriculum
  • Track and evaluate trainee performance, providing regular feedback and coaching
  • Coordinate RIBO exam registration and scheduling for all trainees
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Recruitment, IT, Sales, and Service) to ensure training alignment with business needs and job readiness
  • Maintain and improve training documentation, guides, and knowledge bases
  • Monitor exam pass rates and implement strategies to improve success rates
  • Support onboarding processes for new brokers to ensure a strong start in their roles
  • Stay up to date with RIBO regulatory changes and update training content accordingly
  • Supporting other training initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • RIBO Level 1 License required
  • 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a brokerage or training role
  • Experience delivering training programs in a classroom or virtual environment
  • Strong understanding of the RIBO exam curriculum and licensing requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess learning needs and adapt training methods accordingly
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual training tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, LMS)
