Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Commissioning and Systems Lead to join their team on a 1-year contract in Sarnia, ON.
Role Overview
- Commissioning and Systems Completion Planning: Develop and implement best practices for commissioning and systems completion.
- Contract Management: Award and onboard contractors for commissioning and systems completion.
- Interface Management: Act as the primary interface with contractors and strong interface with other project contractors.
- Database Management: Ensure accurate set-up of the SC database (Hexagon) to reflect commissioning scope.
- Schedule Coordination: Align commissioning schedule with construction schedule.
- Pre-Comm & Dry Comm Coordination: Coordinate activities with commissioning contractor.
- Transition Planning: Plan for the transition of the facility to the Operations S/U Team.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate commissioning and startup risks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Engineering Degree: Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience.
- Commissioning Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in commissioning and systems completion.
- Hexagon Database Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Hexagon database.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to work under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in commissioning and systems completion advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in commissioning and systems completion.
