Working under the supervision of the Superintendent, the Driver will possess a valid AZ driver's license and drive various types of vehicles and trucks to support the Telecon Civil Construction.

We are looking for someone who is interested and motivated to learn how to Locate and operate a Directional Drill. Must be willing to work out of town from time to time when required (within Ontario, such as Guelph).

This position is primarily based out of our construction shop in Belleville on Maitland Drive.

This is a unionized opportunity with Local LiUNA 183 Kingston and the hourly wage is currently $34.03.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Manage the vehicles and its actions; responsible for identifying weight as to not exceed vehicle requirements
Load and unload heavy equipment in a secure and damage free manner
Learn how to Locate and Operate Directional Drill and related equipment
Transport cargo and/or equipment utilizing various combinations of truck and trailer
Complete the driver's daily pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspections
Complete the driver's logbook, accident, or incident reports
Maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle (interior and exterior)
Operating tools and equipment and supporting the crew as needed
General site preparation and clean-up as directed
Other duties as required

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Valid "AZ" driver's License and able to provide a clean driver's abstract
Mechanically inclined and willing/interested in learning to Locate and operate a Directional Drill
At least 1-2 years of related experience in the construction or landscaping industry is an asset
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions year-round
Good verbal communication skills and able to work with others
Must be able to safely lift 23 kg (50 lbs.) where required
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable health and safety training as per legislative and job requirements
Must be willing to complete an online criminal record check to the company's satisfaction
Must be willing to work out of town from time to time when required (within Ontario)
