This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Langley, BC.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Compact Equipment Sales Consultant will be responsible for selling small to medium-sized construction equipment like excavators, compact loaders, and skid steers. The role requires strong sales and communication skills, a good understanding of the equipment and its applications, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. In this position you will own a sales territory and be responsible for driving sales results through prospecting, lead generation, quoting, and closing sales

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales:

• Generating leads and qualifying potential customers.

• Presenting equipment options and solutions to meet customer needs.

• Negotiating pricing and sales contracts.

• Closing sales and securing orders.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Building and maintaining relationships with customers and industry contacts.

• Providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries.

• Following up on sales opportunities and managing customer accounts.

Market Knowledge:

• Staying up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.

• Understanding the different applications of compact equipment in various industries.

• Providing technical expertise and product knowledge to customers.

Sales Territory Management:

• Developing sales strategies for a specific territory.

• Tracking sales performance and achieving sales targets.

• Reporting on sales activity and market conditions.

Other:

• Generating sales leads and manage prospects through the sales process

• Preparing sales reports, and assisting with marketing efforts.

• Collaborating with service and parts departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) essential

• Post-secondary education in business, sales or marketing preferred

• Three years related equipment sales experience or experience selling in the construction industry

• Demonstrated success achieving sales results and driving business growth

• Must be able to climb into and out of heavy equipment

• Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills with strong negotiation ability

• Some travel will be required to review potential purchases, attend training courses or meetings, evaluate existing inventory, or meet with current and potential customers.

• Use of personal vehicle is required

• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
