Seeking a skilled IBM z/OS System Programmer to support the installation, customization, upgrade, and ongoing maintenance of z/OS and its subsystems. This is a core infrastructure and systems role, not an application developer position. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with SMP/E, JES2, RACF, CICS, DB2, and performance monitoring tools, along with expertise in mainframe system architecture, LPAR builds, and modernization integration.

Location: Toronto, ON (1 day onsite/week) or remote for candidates in other provinces

Duration: 12 Months (Extendable) Contract-to-Hire in the Future

Your Key Responsibilities:

Lead z/OS software upgrades, customization, and performance tuning

Manage and configure LPAR builds, DASD, VTL, and z14/z15 hardware

Handle major incidents and conduct system-level debugging

Integrate with systems via FTP, MQ, SFTP, and Web Services

Must-Have Skills:

z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, RMF, WLM, RACF

Strong troubleshooting & integration capabilities

Solid understanding of system infrastructure
