We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for Sales of all Banqueting and Conference Centre Events ranging from corporate meetings to all types of social gatherings to meet revenue goals at this 5-star international hotel brand property in Toronto. The ideal candidate must be outgoing, energetic, and detail oriented and can bring in new business to this establishment.
The candidate should have experience in contracting Banqueting and Conference events and have a mature and energetic approach to driving events business. In addition, the ideal candidate will have considerable experience in planning and coordinating special events, a proven ability to communicate at all levels management and assisting all operational staff.
The successful candidate must have a proven track record of achievements within the Hotel market in event sales. Can think outside the box for new results whilst maintaining top quality guest satisfaction. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Some job duties and qualifications:
- Hybrid work arrangement available
- 3-5 years of banquet hall, convention, hotel, or any similar sales experience
- Bachelor's degree or similar degree preferred
- Reports to the Director of Catering
- Plan, and manage hotel details for large and small group events such as Weddings, Corporate Events, and any Social Gatherings
- To ensure maximization of all event revenues and profits while delivering an outstanding quality product and service.
- Superior negotiating and selling skills in planning all kinds of events in planning and executing accounts.
- Competent in managing the financial side of all events planning and execution.
- Outgoing personality with a presentable demeanor and has outstanding communication skills, written and spoken.
This position offers an annual base salary of $50,000 with an exceptional annual Sales Bonus of up to $150,000 and a long-term career opportunity with this international hotel organization in Toronto.
