Business Support Specialist (After Hours) - Job Description

SGGG Fund Services Inc. (SGGG-FSI) is excited to announce a full-time permanent opening for the role of Business Support Specialist. We're looking for a motivated, well-organized individual with a strong sense of accountability to join our dedicated software development team. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to contribute, learn, and grow alongside our dynamic organization.

Reporting to the Vice President & Product Owner, the Business Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering effective business support across departments at SGGG-FSI. As inquiries or challenges arise and are directed to the IS&T department, you'll collaborate with IS&T team members and other key stakeholders to develop practical solutions and address business needs efficiently.

Working hours are: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm EST.

The successful hire must live within commuting distance to the office - only GTA applicants will be considered.

Core Responsibilities

•Tier 1 support for production tickets submitted by internal business users from all dept

•Resolve and notify management in a timely manner of critical issues that are raised by business users.

•Keep management informed of all issues that could have a client impact

•Provide feedback to the business analyst team on recurring issues and present ideas for long-term solutions

•Work directly with the business analyst and QA team by handing off resolved tickets that may require future development

•Support vendors, third party relationships with minimal supervision

•Test solutions and collaborate with other members of the team throughout the development cycle

•Train users and resolve user inquiries to ensure successful implementation

•Develop a professional and productive relationship with SGGG-FSI staff

Qualifications

Work Experience

•2+ years of back-office support or accounting experience (including internships or co-op)

•Knowledge of the investment fund industry systems, operations, technical and business processes (an asset, but not required)

•Proficient in MS Word and Excel

•Experience with MS SQL is an asset, but not required

Education

•Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or computer science

•Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

•Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
