We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in managing legal files independently and communicating with clients and third parties in a professional manner.
Applicants with experience in personal injury or accident benefits (AB) claims will be given preference. Experience with Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) matters or other areas of legal service is also valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload independently and ensure timely file progression
- Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence
- Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, and service providers
- Conduct legal research and prepare file summaries
- Maintain organized and accurate records and documentation
- Assist in preparing for mediations, hearings, and related procedures
Qualifications
- Licensed and authorized to work as a Paralegal in Ontario
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal environment
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in personal injury and accident benefits (AB)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in English is required
- Multilingual ability is considered an asset
- Familiarity with legal software (e.g., Primafact, Clio, PCLaw) is an advantageis a plus
