The Logistics Coordinator is accountable for the day to day coordination of inbound and outbound freight operations, acting as a vital link between internal teams, external partners, and our 3PL provider. You will oversee international freight transportation, domestic fulfillment for B2B and B2C orders and ensure that standard operations procedures (SOPs) are followed while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiencies. Your excellent organizational, time and data management skills ensure you can expertly oversee the logistical side of freight and warehouse logistics.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and maintain accurate inbound and outbound forecasts at daily, weekly, monthly and annual levels.
- Work with the warehouse operations team to ensure our processing SLA's are met, costs are closely monitored, and that all day-to-day 3PL related logistics are running smoothly.
- Be the first point of contact for all outbound and inbound operations.
- Partner with 3PL to ensure all SOPs are maintained, proactively update and adjust according to business needs.
- Oversee the forecasting and procurement of all packaging and supplies to meet business requirements.
Global Freight & Logistics
- Manage global freight carrier partnerships, negotiating rates to ensure timely deliveries that align with company standards and budgets.
- Provide weekly reporting and recommendations to senior management, making necessary adjustments to drive efficiency and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with Planning, Director of Production and factories to ensure timely booking and approval of freight quotes and that they adhere to plan.
- Lead internal communication regarding delivery and launch dates, escalating as needed, to address any shipment delays or issues and implementing solutions to mitigate disruptions.
- Handle claims with carriers for delayed or damaged shipments, ensuring resolutions align with company policies.
Shipping Documentation Compliance
- Ensure all necessary shipping documentation is complete and accurate, including bills of lading, customs documentation, Duty codes and shipping labels.
- Manage Wholesale Shipping Compliance, working with 3PL and Freight partner to ensure adherence to SOPs
- Communicate with wholesale accounts regarding delivery updates and freight inquiries.
- Partner with sales teams to forecast and plan shipments, ensuring alignment with customer and operational needs.
Reporting & Analysis
- Freight Cost Analysis: Provide Monthly analysis to finance, senior management reporting on actual freight vs Plan & LY, Average transit times
- Warehouse Fulfillment Reporting: Maintain forecast documents in collaboration with internal teams. Generate warehouse fulfillment reports, analyzing performance against forecasts and plans.
- Prepare ad hoc operations, freight, and inventory analyses as needed to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years in logistics, supply chain, or freight management, (apparel or retail industry is preferred).
- Proficiency in using inventory management software/systems and Microsoft Excel (Netsuite a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data review and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on data insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
- Ability to travel to the United States is required.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
