Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Deli & Meat Department Manager to oversee our

Deli Department in Woodbridge. The department manager will ensure exceptional

customer service and efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a

passion for the organic food industry and possess strong leadership skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the deli department, including ordering, inventory management, pricing, and product displays.
  • Monitor product quality, ensuring compliance with organic and sustainable standards, and address any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department, following all health and safety regulations.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong customer-centric approach.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests.
  • Assist customers in selecting high-quality deli and meat products, providing information on organic and sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall shopping experience and cross-promote relevant products.
  • Monitor product expiration dates and implement proper rotation techniques to minimize waste.
  • Optimize departmental productivity by streamlining processes, implementing effective systems, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Follow all relevant food safety regulations and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a deli or meat department, preferably in an organic grocery store.
  • Knowledge of organic and sustainable food practices, including product sourcing, labeling, and certifications.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for providing an outstanding shopping experience.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Salary: Based on 42.5 net Hours per week starting at $25.00 per hour
