About Big Star Lights

Big Star Lights is a leader in professional-grade decorative LED lighting products for installers and home service businesses. We're a primarily ecommerce B2B company, and we encourage you to visit to learn more about what we do.

Our culture is innovative and flexible, and we believe in empowering team members to drive real results while having a meaningful voice in shaping our future.

About the Role

We're looking for a Warehouse Manager who can take ownership of our fast-paced, fulfillment operations. You'll manage day-to-day warehouse activity, keep our operations smooth and efficient, and help us stay ahead of the curve during our busiest seasons.

This is a hands-on, results-driven role that's ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and gets energized by solving real-world problems quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fulfillment Operations: Oversee all order picking, packing, and shipping with a focus on speed and accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory using spreadsheets and basic systems. Oversee stock movement and storage.
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage inbound and outbound shipments and troubleshoot delivery issues.
  • Warehouse Organization: Keep the space clean, safe, and optimized for high throughput during peak season.
  • Off-Season Prep: Lead restocking, process improvement, and preparation for the next busy season.
  • Customer-Focused Execution: Ensure timely and error-free shipments to maintain customer satisfaction.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Significant hands-on experience in warehouse/fulfillment roles - especially in ecommerce or seasonal environments.
  • Comfortable using Shopify and Google Suite (Sheets, Drive, etc) for order and inventory management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of operational outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Additional Assets

  • Experience with warehouse automation tools or systems.
  • Background in seasonal/holiday product businesses.
  • Forklift certification or equivalent.

Who We're Looking For

  • A hands-on operator who loves to move fast and get results.
  • Someone who can handle seasonal surges and stay level-headed under pressure.
  • A self-starter who takes pride in operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Someone who's looking for ownership (not micromanagement) and who's ready to make a difference in a lean, agile company.

Compensation

  • Salary range: CAD $60,000 - $90,000, depending on experience.
  • Bonus: Performance-based bonuses tied to fulfillment KPIs and company goals.

Company Culture and Benefits

  • Be part of a nimble, growing team with room to make a big impact.
  • Flexible work arrangements based on reliability and performance.
  • Autonomy and trust: we care about outcomes, not clock-punching.
  • A collaborative work environment where your input actually shapes how things get done.

Note: This role is based at our Richmond warehouse. While the busiest months are fall and early winter, you'll be involved year-round in refining and preparing our operations.
