Job Summary
As the company expands its investment property portfolio, Cresco is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Real Estate Investments to lead the performance, growth, and future development of its real estate assets. This senior leadership role is ideal for a visionary professional with a strong background in real estate investment, financial analysis, and development planning. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Director will be instrumental in identifying opportunities, enhancing asset value, and ensuring Cresco's portfolio aligns with long-term strategic and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the strategic performance of a diverse investment property portfolio, ensuring operational excellence, strong financial returns, and alignment with Cresco's broader business objectives.
- Develop and execute asset management strategies that enhance property value, maximize occupancy, and deliver exceptional experiences for residents and tenants.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews, monitoring performance metrics and adjusting strategies to meet evolving market and financial goals.
- Identify and evaluate new development opportunities, using market research, feasibility studies, and risk analysis to guide recommendations and acquisition decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to take projects from concept to completion, contributing to key decisions on design, unit layouts, amenities, and positioning.
- Provide financial oversight, including budget preparation, capital planning, and performance reviews across all investment assets.
- Present clear and data-informed reports to senior management and stakeholders, supporting strategic planning and investor relations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, consultants, investors, and government partners.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements relating to Cresco's investment properties.
- Contribute to Cresco's long-term strategic planning, managing the full investment lifecycle-from land activation and development to asset optimization and disposition.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned real estate professional with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline, complemented by advanced designations such as an MBA, P. Eng, PMP, or CPM. With a minimum of ten years' progressive experience managing real estate investments, development projects, or asset portfolios, they bring a solid track record of delivering results in complex and dynamic environments. They possess deep financial acumen, including expertise in budgeting, investment analysis, and financial reporting, paired with a strong familiarity with the construction and design process from concept to completion. A strategic thinker with sharp execution skills, they are adept at identifying market opportunities and translating vision into actionable growth. Their leadership style is collaborative and empowering, and they are known for their ability to inspire high-performing teams while building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills round out their profile, enabling them to influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
