Notes on Location:

Resource will work remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required.

Onsite meetings include but are not limited to strategic, analytical, and technical discussions, meeting with team members, senior managers, directors, executive directors, and business clients. Frequency of meeting could be up to 3-4 times per fiscal year.

Actual onsite attendance may be negotiable, particularly if resource lives outside Alberta.

Work Experience:

Atleast

• 6 years of experience and comprehensive skills in using statistical and computer languages, e.g. R, Python, SQL
• 6 years of experience in building analytical and quantitative analysis models.
• 6 years of experience with projects that involved data science , data engineering and/or AI.
• 6 years of experience in preparing data for prescriptive and predictive modelling
• 6 years of experience in understanding complex business questions and framing the right analytical question to solve a business problem.
• 6 years of experience with and understanding of different approaches and methods for data analytics and data science (e.g. complex statistical modelling).
• 6 years of experience with and understanding of statistical and data mining techniques to address key business issues.
• Public/ Provincial/ Federal/ Crown Experience must

Nice to Have

Work Experience

• Experience combining raw data from a variety of data sources within and across domains.
• Experience dealing with clients and explaining complex data principles in a thoughtful manner.
• Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines, data analytics workflows, or data product workflows.
• Experience preparing visualizations, dashboards, and analytical models
• Experience understanding and developing requirements for analytical projects.
• Experience utilizing big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) or cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, Snowflake)
• Experience working with large government datasets.
