Job Title: Information Management Advisor

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Length: 12 Months (with possibility of extension)

Rotation: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Description:

The client is seeking an experienced Information Management (IM) Advisor to support operational IM projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for IM-related matters, advising business stakeholders on best practices and ensuring alignment with IM compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage one or more operational Information Management projects under the direction of the IM Manager.
  • Guide business units in effectively utilizing IM tools and solutions.
  • Educate teams on compliance with IM standards, policies, data privacy regulations, and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and internal/external development teams to deliver tailored IM solutions.
  • Evaluate and compare market-standard solutions against legacy systems to determine optimal fit.
  • Design fit-for-purpose IM frameworks and contribute to solution delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to create business value through IM solutions and asset optimization.
  • Ensure IM solutions fulfill business information requirements derived from operational processes.
  • Monitor and support improvements in Information & Data (I&D) health and operational excellence.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven mastery of metadata concepts
  • Strong working knowledge of IM structuring and taxonomy
  • Proficient in IM policies and processes, including record management
  • Skilled in the use of O365, Assai, Azure, and workflow tools
  • Experience in managing data health, maturity, and compliance
  • Familiarity with the IM & Technical Data Framework
  • Ability to work across AGILE and KANBAN methodologies
  • Strong analytical and consulting skills in IM and I&D lifecycle management

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience working with unstructured data sets
  • CIP certification
  • Exposure to Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies
  • This role supports capital projects within the Integrated Gas business unit, focusing on process improvement and compliance.
