Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead and grow our Canadian market presence. The role will be responsible for expanding our client base, deepening relationships with key clients and identifying new opportunities across the mining and geoscience industries. The successful candidate will bring a strong track record in technical sales and business development. This position will be an active part of the organization, connecting with marketing, technical expertise and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving revenue targets and developing new business.

The position is ideally based out of our Toronto office, however excellent candidates based elsewhere in Canada will be considered. This is an exciting position for an energetic candidate who is looking to grow with the company as it expands across vertical and geographic markets.

The role will be focused on the Canadian market, however potential for growth into the lead for DGI Business Development globally.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Strategy and Collaboration with management:

Participate in the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic sales aligned with DGI's growth objectives;

Participate in the vision of the organization with the development of long range and annual plans;

Sales and Marketing Program:

Lead the Canadian sales function and be the primary person responsible for achieving revenue targets;

Identify pursue, and secure new business opportunities in mining, consulting, and exploration firms;

• Develop revenue generation and strategic partnerships;

Participate in preparation of sales, marketing and development reports which serve to summarize progress during the period(s). Implements actions to correct negative trends;

Work with operations, marketing and technical teams to deliver tailored proposals and solutions;

Represent DGI at conferences, trade shows and industry events across Canada;

Desired:

Education

University degree in sciences or engineering and/or experience in business development or technical sales in the mining or geoscience sector.

Technical Skills and Experience

+ 5 years experience in business development or technical sales;

Demonstrated ability to manage and grow accounts - penetrate majors with a sense of urgency; ability to move across client departments to offer complementary services;

Demonstrated drive and passion to get a great story in front of more people;

Experience developing strong relationships with customers and other third parties;

Experience in the mining industry is an asset;

A strong network within Canada's mining and mineral exploration industry is viewed as a significant asset;

Knowledge of geoscience services e.g. geophysics, core logging, downhole measurements are a strong asset

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills

Team player with ability to maintain and build relationships;

Ability to work effectively without supervision.
