LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Business Analyst opportunity for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

Remote (Ottawa, Winnipeg, or Toronto preferred)

Key Tasks

  • Reporting to the IT lead, the BA will work with the business to collect the current state plan rules per plan and then work with the IT Lead to analyze what can be migrated to MEBS and what cannot.
  • If the requirements can be migrated, the Senior BA will document detailed requirements for the DEV team to build.
  • Once the work is completed, the Senior BA will create test cases and help test that the DEV work was completed correctly.
  • Collaborate with business teams to gather and document existing plan rules and configurations.
  • Analyze the compatibility of existing rules with the new MEBS platform.
  • Translate complex benefits terminology and rules into clear, development-ready requirements.
  • Work closely with the IT Lead and development team to ensure accurate system configuration.
  • Create and execute detailed test cases to validate system functionality post-development.
  • Support the client onboarding process during system migration.

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to Translate Complex Plan Rules into Clear, Developer-Ready Requirements - Process mapping
  • Strong Technical Proficiency with the Microsoft Power Platform Stack, specifically Power Pages
  • The BA must understand Health & Welfare, group insurance, claims, pensions, etc., to ensure accurate documentation and translation of requirements

Qualifications

  • Subject matter expertise in multi employer benefits administration (Health and welfare, benefits, claims, group insurance, pensions)
  • Comfortable translating group benefits jargon and complicated plan rules into common sense development requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret and simplify complex plan structures for technical teams.
  • Experience in system migration projects is a strong asset.
