Job Title: Systems Analyst

Job Type: 12 month contract + possibility of extension, 3/4 days on-site, located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Job Salary: $43 - $49 / Hour

The successful candidate will be involved in software configurations, workflow implementation and maintenance. Coordinates with engineering/systems and professional services team to develop the most cost-effective solution that meets business expectations.

Day in the Life:

• Supports product management on functional requirements with understanding of process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional domain.
• Participates/Leads design discussions with understanding of process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional domain.
• Has strong sense of ownership with the ability to drive clarity in complex and ambiguous scenarios.
• Proficient with systems-thinking and able to articulate them to various groups across the organization.
• Owns making configuration within the selected platforms
• Guides teams to resolve complex and severe technical issues.
• Supports one or more moderately to highly complex business processes
• Undertakes production support and incident management responsibilities
• Champions best practices around data standards, policies, and procedures
• Engages with solution architect and engineers to design/configure solutions
• Supports/involves in ensuring quality of delivery processes
• Leads end-to-end testing as a SME and supports business stakeholders during UAT.

Must Haves:

• Education and/or strong work experience in Information Technology or a related field.
• Possess expert level understanding of software development practices and project life cycles
• Proven experience with large-scale systems/application implementation.
• 4+ years as Systems Analyst or System administrator
• Experience in a retail environment is an asset.
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting complex software systems, including production support
• Experience setting up support processes, monitoring/alerting/dashboarding for production software systems and interpreting telemetry
• Any experience with CBX Software would be a big plus
• Has good understanding of development platforms (packaged and/or custom) within a functional domain.
• Understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.
