JOB DESCRIPTION
Contempo Media is a Toronto based publishing group that houses 3 publications: S Magazine, SHARP & Book For Men. We are seeking a talented Social Media & Digital Editor to join the team. In this dynamic role, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our digital presence across SHARP and S magazines.
We are looking for someone who is professional, positive, flexible and has an over-achieving attitude towards any given task.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute social media content strategies for SHARP ensuring the magazine's distinct voice is maintained.
Create high-quality content (written, visual, and video) for SHARP's social media channels, catering to the affluent interests of our audience in fashion, transportation, travel, food, and culture.
Manage and schedule content across various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), maintaining alignment with editorial calendar as well as relevant events including awards season, holidays, etc.
Analyze social media and website metrics to understand audience engagement and inform future content strategies.
Stay on top of the latest industry trends and best practices to ensure we're reaching our target audience effectively.
Collaborate with other departments (including editorial, marketing/sales, and art) to create a seamless digital experience for our readers and partners.
Capture BTS content on editorial photo shoots, and edit accordingly for social media

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and schedule digital editorial calendar publish all digital content using relevant Content Management Systems (CMS) (e.g., WordPress, Later) on and social media channels.
Manage, schedule, and repurpose editorial content and shoots from print issues for web based on editorial calendar.
Manage monthly online editorial budget.
Assign and manage freelancers based on monthly editorial calendar.
Schedule and publish press experiences as required on and social media channels.
Assign freelancers based on monthly editorial calendar.
Schedule digital content meetings and brainstorm discussions.
Attend press previews and press trips as required.
Analyze social media and website metrics to understand audience engagement and inform future content strategies.
Stay on top of the latest industry trends and best practices to ensure we're reaching our target audience effectively.
Collaborate with other departments (including editorial, marketing/sales, and art) to create a seamless digital experience for our readers and partners.
Schedule weekly S Magazine newsletters via Mailchimp, driving subscriber engagement.
Capture BTS content on editorial photo shoots and edit accordingly for social media.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in social media management and content creation for a fashion brand, publication or similar industry.
Excellent writing, copy editing, and communication skills with a strong understanding of SEO principles.
Proficiency in social media analytics and content management systems.
Knowledge of photoshop is a plus.
The ability to work independently while also being a team player.
A strong understanding of the fashion industry and its key players is a plus.
