We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Director, IT Program for one of our healthcare client. It is responsible for leading and directing the IT portfolio of the Hospital and Health Campus Project during the implementation and construction phases through to facility opening and project close-out. This leadership role ensures alignment with approved business case objectives, oversees design compliance, stakeholder engagement, and successful transition to operational readiness.

Job Description:
Scope of Services:
- Oversight and delivery of the IT Program as per the approved Business Case.
- Leadership in governance, scheduling, and integrated planning.
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholders including Project Co., vendors, clinical teams, and executive leadership.
- Financial oversight of capital and operating budgets.
- Management of risk, issue resolution, resourcing, and contracts.
- Ensure design compliance and program alignment across health authorities and broader IMIT objectives.
- Serve as the executive-level representative of the IT Program in key forums and events.
- Transition and handover of IT operations post-project delivery.
Deliverables:
- Implementation of the IT Technology Program.
- Development and maintenance of the IT integrated project schedule.
- Regular governance and status reporting.
- Active engagement at executive and public forums.
- Capital and operating budget management.
- Risk, issue, and change management oversight.
- Resource and vendor contract management.
- Stakeholder relationship management.
- Ongoing alignment with Vancouver Project Partners (VPP) and other health authorities.
- Oversight of Project Co. and design compliance activities.
- Transition strategy and execution for operational handover
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior IT Project Management or Executive Leadership role within healthcare infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing hospital redevelopment projects in British Columbia, from construction phase through to facility opening.
- Experience working directly with a Project Co. on a major healthcare redevelopment project.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to work with clinical, technical, and executive leadership.
- Proven budget and financial management experience (capital and operating).
- Solid understanding of design compliance, risk, and change management practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Business, or related discipline - or equivalent professional experience.
- Deep understanding of British Columbia's health system landscape and experience working with agencies such as Providence Health Care, Vancouver Coastal Health, and the Ministry of Health.
- Proven experience in large-scale IT systems delivery in a healthcare setting.
Special Requirements:
- Must include a list of healthcare redevelopment projects in British Columbia the candidate has contributed to.
- Strong preference given to candidates who have worked on complex hospital redevelopment projects with IT/IMIT portfolios in B.C.
