General Job Description:
Responsible for the mechanical (electronic) aspects of the repair department at TDG. Performs manual repair of products deemed to be non-conforming to product or component requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan and design plant layouts and facilities
- Study new machinery and facilities and recommend or select efficient combinations
- Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures
- Conduct studies and implement programs to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials and resources
- Analyze costs of production for continuous improvement
- Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs
- Determine human resource and skill requirements and develop training programs
- Develop performance standards, evaluation systems and wage and incentive programs
- Conduct studies of the reliability and performance of plant facilities and production or administrative systems
- Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs
- Evaluate or assess industrial facilities
- Lead Design for Manufacturing reviews
- Design and manufacture of jigs and fixtures
- Update processes based on customer feedback and returns
Work Experience Requirements:
- Five years minimum working in a production environment in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Shop floor experience with manual and semi-automatic product assembly processes.
- Experience with updating product designs in Solidworks and with Bills of Materials
Educational Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering Degree with a specialization in Manufacturing.
