Your Role
As an Intermediate Designer at BBB Architects, you will join our firm for a full-time, opportunity at our Toronto office - working closely with our Interiors Team.
What You Will Do
Work on architectural projects as a member of a design team, participating in all phases of the Interior Design Process.
Collaborate with Partners, designers, architects, and directors, to plan, design, develop and gain real-world experience working with clients and stakeholders
Consult with the Firm's Partners and other senior staff on any design, technical, production, scope or client issues of which they or you become aware. Manage your time, and meet the firm's targets for time expenditure and billings for both yourself as well as your project team.
Strive for design impact, innovation and function. Participate in the development of approaches, concepts and designs that exceed client expectations.
Produce or direct the creation of renderings and presentations that attract and inspire clients and team members.
Design and execute components of projects of moderate complexity from proposal through concept, construction and closeout; work to master the development, continuity and detailing of design concepts; develop a strong mastery of appropriate construction techniques; develop high-quality drawing and documentation sets that are clear, comprehensive and consistent.
Strive to reduce rework, errors and omissions; and, at all times keep current and competent with all required computer systems, software, and hardware used in the industry.
Business related overnight or extended travel may be required.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor of Interior Design, from an accredited school
Member of ARIDO, or NCIDQ certification (asset)
3+ Years of experience at a design firm or architectural firm
Experience using Revit or Rhino and BIM modeling software
3-D computer rendering skills (Enscape, V-ray, Sketch Up, 3-D Max, and/or other modeling software)
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook and Bluebeam
