We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality results while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

What You will be doing:

  • Construction Leadership: Oversee and manage all the construction of all projects. Ensure that all activities align with the company's standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Project Accountability: Take full ownership of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to the specified requirements. Even when not directly managing specific jobs, maintain responsibility for the overall project outcome.
  • Team Management & Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse team of employees. Ensure continuous engagement, foster a culture of collaboration, and support ongoing training and development for team members.
  • Contract and Proposal Management: Review final proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with project specifications. Collaborate with stakeholders to manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Revenue & Expansion Responsibility: Contribute to revenue growth and work closely with the leadership team to expand the business to other provinces. Ensure profitability across all managed projects and initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with other departments, contractors, and clients. Work effectively across all levels to ensure alignment with company goals and deliverables.
  • Reporting & KPIs: Regularly track and report on project progress, budget status, and other key metrics (e.g., revenue growth, profitability margin). Ensure all projects are quoted accurately and manage profitability margins within acceptable thresholds.

What You Are Good At:

  • Multitasking & Time Management: Handle multiple projects simultaneously while managing competing priorities. Demonstrate superior organizational skills to balance time effectively between tasks.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of construction management experience, with hands-on expertise in the technical aspects of dock systems or similar infrastructure projects.
  • PMP Certification (Asset): PMP certification is a strong asset and will be considered a valuable qualification.
  • Team Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to engage with, motivate, and develop teams while maintaining consistent and clear communication throughout all stages of a project.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and relevant building codes. Ability to make informed decisions based on sound technical expertise.
  • Time & Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage time, organize tasks, and keep projects on track to ensure timely completion.
