Our client is a steel fabrication shop that has been in business for over 25 years and services many mining products and mine ventilation products. Located in the Greater City of Sudbury, Ontario.

We are currently looking to hire an experienced CNC Machinist for the night shift - this is a 4 days/week working 10 hours per day. The schedule is 3:30pm - 02:00am Monday to Thursday with Fri/Sat/Sun off work.This role is being offered at $32-$40/hour and full benefits, monthly production bonuses, and RRSP contribution plans are available after a 4-month probationary period.

Job Responsibilities - CNC Machinist

Our client is hiring an experienced CNC machinist, who is also familiar with the roles and responsibilities of a general machinist and possesses a strong mechanical aptitude. Qualifications and Responsibilities Include

• Set up and operate machines such as lathes, milling machines, and CNC machines
• Ability to read and review drawings, samples, and blueprints
• Responsible for operating on a variety of CNC machine tools to perform precise or repetitive machining operations such as milling, drilling, tapping etc
• Verify dimensions of machined features for accuracy and conformance to specifications using various measuring instruments
• Responsible for maintaining product quality during machining cycle
• Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance, as well as inspection of machinery prior to operation
• Program, edit existing programs, or prove out new programs for CNC machine tools
• Capable of editing and reading standard machine code
• Able to use basic measuring instruments and take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
• Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision or guidance
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean workspace
• Accept and following instructions and work with others cooperatively
• Forklift operation experience is desirable
• General Machinist 3-5 years of experience
• CNC Machinist 3-5 years
