We're looking for the right people to join our mission for the right reasons. This is a full-time, in-office role based in East End Downtown Toronto, with a five-day workweek. As we look to launch our marketplace of pros and local businesses - the challenges and opportunities in this market are plenty (true start-up vibes). We have big plans for this coming year and we're looking to add to our already passionate team.
ROLE OVERVIEW
QM is looking for a Business Development Representative to support the acquisition side of our marketplace with top quality Home Service Professionals in the GTA.
You will be prospecting and reaching out to service professionals to qualify the best Pros and pitch Qms vision. Your role includes signing up Pros and generating demos while working collaboratively with our Acquisition Team. You will become an expert in our home service verticals, product and marketplace to properly guide Pros on how to use our platform.
The right person is a self-starter with an ownership mentality: you thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity workplace where you can balance multiple priorities on the go. You have sales and negotiation skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships, quickly. We are looking for someone who shows strong initiative along the pursuit of big goals, and who can go shoulder-to-shoulder with us as we tackle this mission.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Sign Up (activate) 60% of referred Pros from our homeowner referral network
- Research, prospect, and qualify top-tier home service professionals in your assigned vertical
- Execute multi-channel outreach via calls, emails, texts, and other communication tools
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with Pros
- Hit weekly and monthly activation targets on schedule
- Embrace feedback and continuously improve sales skills and effectiveness
WHAT YOU BRING
- 1+ years of proven work experience in a sales capacity
- Familiarity with CRM practices and procedures
- Highly motivated and is target-driven with a proven track record in sales
- Excellent relationship building,communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Speaks confidently and communicates value clearly-without overselling or pushing beyond what's true
