Our firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Lawyer to join our dynamic team and provide exceptional legal representation to our corporate clientele. If you have a strong background in commercial litigation and a track record of delivering results, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Represent business clients in a range of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, contract disputes, employment litigation, lease disputes, and regulatory matters.
• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on litigation risk management, dispute resolution strategies, and potential outcomes.
• Conduct legal research, case analysis, and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
• Collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to develop effective litigation strategies tailored to meet the unique needs and objectives of each client.
• Handle all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Manage and mentor junior associates and legal staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback as needed.

Qualifications:

• LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing litigation law, with a focus on representing business clients.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing and mentoring junior lawyers and legal staff.
• Business acumen and a client-focused approach to legal practice.
• Fluency in English (additional fluency in French is an asset).
