Enterprise Architecture Consultant - Data Governance Focus

Location: Halifax, NS (Permanent Remote - Candidates may work from anywhere in Canada; preference for EST or CST time zones)

Type: Contract

Job Description:

Seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to join our team on a transformative data-driven initiative. This is a remote role, ideal for professionals who have a strong background in Data Governance, Enterprise Information Protection, and Enterprise Preference Systems. The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for translating business needs into scalable technical solutions and developing architectural roadmaps that align with enterprise-wide strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business goals into technical systems solutions and long-term architectural strategies
  • Integrate hardware, software, and network systems to support scalable enterprise architecture
  • Recommend innovative tools and platforms to enhance the organization's technical infrastructure
  • Guide and mentor technical and architectural staff
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural integrity and project alignment
  • Follow professional standards, documented procedures, and regulatory frameworks
  • Ensure architectural decisions support enterprise-wide modernization, transformation, and transition efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Proven technical experience in architecture or large-scale IT systems integration
  • Progressive experience as a Senior Architect or Technical Lead on large enterprise projects
  • Experience in the design, development, and testing of software applications
  • Passion for innovation and improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Preference Systems
  • Hands-on experience with Data Governance and Enterprise Information Protection
  • Strong collaboration skills across matrixed environments (Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance Office, etc.)
  • Proven ability to create and influence strategic roadmaps and technical vision
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of translating technical concepts to business stakeholders
  • Experience with enterprise software modernization and transformation efforts
  • Record of improving architecture practices and driving operational efficiencies
