Toronto, ON Projects: $5M-$50M+ Full-Time

About the Company

Our client is a reputable general contractor with a strong presence in the Greater Toronto Area, delivering high-quality ICI construction projects. Their portfolio includes complex renovations and interior fit-outs across commercial and institutional sectors.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead all on-site operations for ICI construction projects ranging from $5 million to $50 million+. This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing field execution, trade coordination, and site logistics. While not the main focus, prior experience with interior fit-outs or renovations will be considered a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work progresses on time, on budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate all site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor site activities to maintain safety compliance under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
  • Maintain accurate daily site reports, progress photos, and schedule updates.
  • Resolve site-level issues quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions.
  • Conduct site meetings and ensure clear communication between field and office teams.
  • Review drawings and specifications to plan work sequencing and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to align field activities with project goals.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent on ICI projects valued at $5M or more.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, construction best practices, and site safety regulations.
  • Proven track record in managing complex sites with multiple trades and tight timelines.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and coordinate workflows effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using construction management software (Procore, BuildPro, or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Experience in occupied site renovations is a plus.

Salary

$100,000-140,000 base plus bonus and benefits, dependent on experience.
