About the Role

As a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling technician, you will report to the Sr. CNC Manufacturing Technician.

Key responsibilities typically include:

  • Machine Setup: Assisting in setting up CNC milling machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and raw materials.
  • Operation: Running pre-programmed CNC milling operations, monitoring machine performance, and making basic adjustments as needed.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify they meet tolerances and specifications.
  • Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance like cleaning machines, checking fluid levels, and reporting any issues to supervisors.
  • Documentation: Recording production data and maintaining logs for traceability and quality assurance.

This role usually requires basic knowledge of machining processes, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints or technical diagrams. Entry-level technicians often receive on-the-job training and may be expected to work in shifts in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience with CNC operation and/or assembly loading
  • Microsoft word and excel experience
  • Analysis of measurement data and capability charts
  • Written and verbal English communication
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Lifting up to 30lbs
  • Basic knowledge of cutting tools and tool holders
  • Must be Fluent in English
