Role Description
This is a hybrid internship role for a Mass Timber DfMA (drafting-designer) intern located in Calgary, AB, with some work from home a possibility depending upon the candidate. The intern will be responsible for assisting in the drafting and design of mass timber structures. Day-to-day tasks will include creating detailed drawings, collaborating with engineers and designers, participating in project meetings, and ensuring all documentation meets industry standards.
Qualifications
- Experience or coursework in Drafting and Design techniques
- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Pursuing a degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
