Role Description

This is a contract position for a Senior Associate Lawyer at Demers•Law located in Toronto, ON. The Senior Associate Lawyer will be responsible for advising clients, drafting legal documents, negotiating transactions and settlements, and representing clients in court and arbitration. The Senior Associate should have an existing book of business and ability to generate meaningful new business.

Qualifications

• Existing book of business and ability to generate new business
• Deep knowledge of corporate and business law
• Experience in business formation, structuring, governance and transactions
• Experience and familiarity with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice
• Demonstrated success in dispute resolution
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Law degree from an accredited law school
• Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario
