Join the Litens Purchasing Team as a Purchasing Analyst. As an expert in Cost Estimation for Components and Tooling, this individual will lead and support Purchasing with the implementation of tools, financial models and on-site activities of suppliers that increase the company's level of understanding of supplier cost drivers and identifies/pursues opportunities for continuous improvement. This role may also include buying responsibilities for selected parts at the discretion of the Global Director, Purchasing.

What will you do?

• Acts as the company's expert user of Litens cost estimating software and completes component and/or assembly cost estimates as required.

• Estimates cost impact resulting from changes in design, tooling or supplier manufacturing processes.

• Develops 'should be' cost models for targeted parts and commodity groups and assists buyers to reach those costs.

• Analyses supplier quotes and provides key cost information which aids Purchasing's negotiations.

• Executes the administrator role for Procure Force (Litens e-quote/sourcing software), which includes users' setup, resolution of issues with the vendor, and software enhancements.

• Collects and presents Raw Material Index data from Litens subscriptions on a monthly basis. • Buying responsibilities (if applicable):

o Generate RFQ's to suppliers for new production parts and/or engineering

changes. Communicate drawing exceptions requested by suppliers to product

engineering.

o Negotiate piece price and tooling cost with suppliers.

o Recommend suppliers to be sourced following Litens Global Purchasing Commodity

Strategies and considering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

o Issue production parts and tooling purchase orders, as well as subsequent price up

dates in the system.

o Evaluate price adjustment requests from suppliers and conduct negotiations to

minimize the cost impact for Litens.

o Facilitate the "Supplier Request for Change" process (SRC)

o Support Material Control escalation process on supplier delivery issues.

o Ensure that a professional conduct and approach is taken in relation to all supplier

business relationships.

What will you bring?

• Bachelor's degree in engineering

• Possesses a deep understanding of supplier manufacturing processes common to the automotive industry with the ability to identify cost savings potentials.

• Analytical, with strong proven problem-solving abilities.

• Self-starter with the ability to work both in a team environment and independently.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels (verbal and written)

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office.

• Ability to travel internationally; must maintain a valid Passport with no Visa restrictions.

• Proficiency in financial modelling with experience in Cost Estimation or Manufacturing Operations.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment, ideally cost estimation with a Tier 1 or Tier 2.

• Experience in Purchasing and negotiation skills are an asset.

• Experience working with cross functional teams that include Engineering, Sales, QA and Purchasing.
