IT Analyst - Financial Services

Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They operate across major verticals, including institutional & corporate banking, wealth management, private client services, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.

Prime Hires is seeking a skilled IT Analyst to join our client's team.

FULL-TIME with Benefits

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Business Hours: Monday to Friday (Hybrid - downtown Toronto)

Job Responsibilities

Governance & Compliance

• Maintain IT/Systems policies and cybersecurity reporting.
• Prepare governance reports by establishing a structured data governance framework, defining procedures, assigning responsibilities, and tracking KPIs.
• Support internal and Head Office reporting.
• Assist with business continuity plan (BCP) failover testing: record procedures, outcomes, and lessons learned.
• Support the creation of presentations and stakeholder reports.

Vendor & Cybersecurity Management

• Support and assist in managing third-party outsourced vendors.
• Help implement and monitor the organization's Cyber Security program in coordination with the Americas IT Team.

IT Support & System Administration

• Provide desktop support and system administration for the Bank's users and applications.
• Set up systems for new employees, including software installation and access configuration.
• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Support system maintenance, upgrades, and IT security controls.
• Manage telecommunications systems and mobile devices.
• Perform daily data backups and maintain local servers.
• Manage tape library processes, including tracking and offsite storage.
• Address workstation and server vulnerabilities identified by the Americas IT Department.
• Maintain LAN servers including updates and security patches.

Experience & Qualification Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in System/IT Administration.
• University or College degree in a relevant discipline.
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of VMware ESXi 7 or 8, VM Windows servers, and VMware Horizon (VDI).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
