Our client is a leader manufacturer instrumentation, control and low voltage power cables industry is looking for an Apprentice Millwright 433A to join their growing team. Position is a permanent day shift role 7.00AM to 3.00 PM with eligible bonusses based on your exams and grades.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, trouble shooting, modification, repair, testing, configuration, commissioning and maintenance of all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical plant manufacturing equipment.
• Understanding of CMMS programs to conduct preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs on plant equipment as directed.
• Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect potential failures and eliminate unplanned downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electromechanical production equipment.
• Understand, observe and comply with company's health and safety rules & regulations, lockout procedures and WHMIS guidelines.
• Work as an integral member of the maintenance / engineering team.
• Complete daily maintenance work orders in an efficient and timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or as required by Maintenance Manager.
• Perform basic Mig, Tig and Stick welding of different metal alloys
• Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting and PLC an asset

Qualifications:

• Must be a 3rd or 4th year registered apprentice
• Capable of physical activities such as standing for long duration, bending down, pulling and pushing and able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Plastic industry experience is a plus
• Communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills with members of maintenance team, supervisors and equipment operators.
• Basic computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of CMMS module of the IFS ERP system.
• Receptive to working overtime on occasional weekend
• Motivation to meet or exceed maintenance standards
• Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual and dependable employee

• Manufacturing environment where noise and dust are part of the day to day working conditions along with heavy machine exposure.
• Personal protective equipment necessary at all times.
• This individual can be required to work overtime and infrequently on weekends.
