Job Summary: We are hiring a Building Coordinator to work with one of our Military Defense Manufacturing clients in Ingersoll, ON. In this role you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the organization's facilities. This includes coordinating maintenance, managing vendor relationships, supporting waste treatment and removal, and handling the day-to-day needs of the facility.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Job Location: Ingersoll, ON

Compensation Structure: $60,000-$65,000 per annum (depending on experience)+ benefits + RRSP.

Shift Structure: Monday to Friday; Day Shift with the flexibility to switch to other shifts/be on-call for emergencies.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for a facilities - related inquiries

Coordinate routine and emergency maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production related infrastructure

Liaise with vendors, service contractors, and internal departments to schedule repairs, inspections, and facility projects

Monitor and maintain safety systems such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting

Maintain records of facility-related work orders, inspections, logs, and service reports

Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and/or installations

Assist with emergency response plans and procedures

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other safety/environmental regulations, including waste management and treatment

Track facility expenses and contribute to budgeting efforts

Other duties as required

Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years facilities experience within a large manufacturing environment

Knowledge of building systems, health and safety regulations and vendor management

Experience with electrical and mechanical systems including air distribution systems and equipment, pumps and chillers

Post-Secondary Diploma (Preferred)

Proficient computer skills

Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to work in conjunction with a team

Excellent problem solving skills

Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage projects and teams

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Able to prioritize work and effectively support plant

Able to multi task and work with interruptions

Registration with the Controlled Goods Program is mandatory for any person examining, possessing or transferring controlled goods in Canada. To register with the Controlled Goods Program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be either a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen.
  • Must have worked in Canada the last 5+ years.
  • Must have not left Canada for more than 6 months in the last 5 years.
  • Must be willing to pass a clean criminal background.
  • Must have at least 1 work reference and 2 personal references.
