Since 2015, Modern Fence Rental has been providing customers with a one-stop shop for their temporary fencing needs for construction sites, home renovations, restorations, events grounds and security.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead - Driver/Temporary Fence Installer to join our growing team. This role requires a combination of leadership, driving, and temporary fence installation skills . You will be responsible for leading a team of fence installers, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard, while also driving and operating company vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of fence installers to ensure efficient and safe installation of temporary fencing at a variety of sites.
  • Safely drive company vehicles and transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Install temporary fence systems
  • Ensure that all work is completed safely and to company standards.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Coordinate with clients to ensure installation is completed to their specifications.
  • Handle any issues or challenges that arise on site.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized yard/shop
  • Oversee inventory of materials and ensure sufficient supplies are available for upcoming projects.
  • Assist with any other duties as this location grows
  • Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in fence installation or construction is an asset.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles is a plus.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
    • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to construction sites.
    • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
    • Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials, such as fence panels and accessories.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise on the job site.
    • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
    • Bilingual in French would be an asset.
