We are seeking a forward-thinking IT Manager with 5-7 years of experience leading technical teams, managing hybrid infrastructures, and driving technology transformation in scaling environments. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Microsoft-centric ecosystems, ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, and AI-driven automation tools such as Power Automate.
This role is ideal for a technically hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced operations-supporting land-based offices, remote teams, and maritime environments. You'll be instrumental in modernizing systems, improving efficiencies through automation, and aligning IT strategy with broader business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
- Lead the IT department, overseeing infrastructure, ERP systems, and support services across office, remote, and vessel-based environments.
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business scaling and digital transformation goals.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools, automation, and data analytics to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
ERP, Automation & Development
- Manage, configure, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and integrated ERP workflows.
- Drive automation initiatives using Power Automate, Power Platform, and related tools to streamline business processes.
- Collaborate with development teams on custom applications, system integrations, and process enhancements.
Infrastructure & Support
- Oversee Microsoft environments including Azure AD, Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, IIS, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint management.
- Manage hybrid cloud infrastructure and ensure secure, reliable networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs).
- Lead the IT service desk operations, from L1 to L3, mentoring staff and improving incident response.
- Supervise the build and maintenance of test environments for vessel-based systems and technologies.
- Support shipboard connectivity including satellite communications, marine navigation systems, and secure access protocols.
Project & Team Management
- Plan and execute cross-functional IT projects in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Mentor and grow IT staff, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Document systems, procedures, and troubleshooting processes to build organizational knowledge and resilience.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-7 years of progressive IT experience, with a strong mix of technical expertise and leadership responsibility.
- Proven ability to scale systems and teams in growth-stage environments.
- Deep experience with Microsoft infrastructure and enterprise tools (AD, Azure, O365, Exchange, Power Platform).
- Hands-on expertise in ERP systems, particularly MS Dynamics Business Central, and related integration work.
- Familiarity with AI tools, scripting, or automation platforms (Power Automate, Python, etc.).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or containerized deployments is a strong asset.
- Strong grasp of network protocols, OSI model, and complex system troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bonus: Knowledge of maritime IT infrastructure and operational environments.
Work Environment & Requirements
- Hybrid model with flexibility between remote, in-office, and onboard vessel presence.
- Willingness to travel to shipyards, ports, or offshore environments as needed (valid driver's license required).
