Location: North Vancouver, B.C.

Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:

As the Systems & Process Specialist - Merchandise Planning, you act on behalf of the Merchandise Planning team to support and guide the evolution and management of all merchandise planning related systems and the processes by which these systems are used and maintained. You are the project point of contact for any systems projectsfor the merchandise planning team. You partner closely with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization to identify best in class solutions, coordinate departmental work for projects, provide input on whether proposed solutions meet needs, and help coordinate the overall implementation.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet your future team:

The Merchandise Planning and Allocations Systems and Process team partners with technology and cross-functional partners from across the business to provide ongoing system support and deliver enhancements that expand our planning and allocation capabilities. We work with our business stakeholders to ideate and define our future-state system capabilities and partner with project teams on the design and implementation of end-to end business processes and system solutions that enable MP&A to achieve its strategic goals and objectives. As part of the Supply Chain Excellence team, we connect strategy to execution by leading a portfolio of initiatives that drive operational excellence across our supply chain.

If you were the Systems & Process Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Identifying gaps between business requirements and merchandise planning systems; partnering with the business in leading the evaluation of potential vendor systems to address gaps, as required
  • Identifying or defining the required information to enable SAP's integration with existing and future systems, including but not limited to merchandise planning systems
  • Acting as the point of contact and representative for merchandise planning for other project teams, ensuring end-to-end needs are considered across proposed business processes and solutions
  • Guiding both business and technical teams to ensure best practices and process optimization are considered throughout the project design stage
  • Documenting the current and future state of all merchandise planning business processes impacted by Merchandise Planning and Allocations (MP&A) systems and tools
  • Identifying newly required processes, defining scope of change required and initiating change within the business, to ensure successful implementations
  • Leading business case creation for new functionality or maintenance of current practices, as required
  • Communicating the end-state consistently to the project team, and notifying project leadership of any challenges to the plan
  • Supporting project teams with the planning and execution of system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), including design of test scenarios, validation and business engagement
  • Ensuring maintenance of user guides and online help tools, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process mapping using standard templates
  • Guide and make recommendations on required system capabilities that drive progress towards our future strategic objectives
  • Exercise independent judgement and provide guidance to business stakeholders when faced with complex problems or choices between technical solutions
  • Utilize planning and system expertise to support and provide guidance to the Merch Planning end-users

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Acting as the liaison between our technology and business teams to manage incident and change request tickets, ensuring each ticket has accurate prioritization and clear requirements; facilitating UAT, and creating documentation to support a smooth implementation
  • Managing existing infrastructure and executing on continued development of Direct to Consumer (DTC) Open-To-Buy tool while collaborating with data & analytics and our technology partners on data consolidation improvements
  • Consulting with and counseling business teams to define and implement future state of demand and merchandise planning processes, system requirements and organizational model as part of multi-year, cross functional projects

Are you our next Systems & Process Specialist?

  • You have 3+ years' work experience in a merchandise planning or demand planning focused role
  • You have experience in retail math and developing reports for analysis and decision making
  • You have prior implementation experience
  • You have strong project management skills
  • You have a drive to learn and participate
  • You are an excellent collaborator, able to work effectively within a team
  • You are adaptable and forward thinking
  • You have solid knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and order management processes

  • You have advanced analytical skills, with a strong aptitude for spreadsheets
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail
  • You are able to travel internationally as required
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$82,000 - CAD$112,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
