We are seeking an experienced ETL Manager to oversee and lead our clients data migration efforts for their SAP S/4HANA rollout, working closely with a global System Integrator (SI) vendor. This role will be responsible for managing internal resources, ensuring the vendor delivers on expectations, and driving the implementation of recommended data framework improvements. This contract has an initial term of 16-months, with potential to extend. Preference will be candidates local to Calgary, however, this role is open to candidates Canada-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the ETL process for SAP S/4HANA implementation in a multi-threaded build, test, and deploy cycle.
- Oversee vendor performance, ensuring alignment with project goals and Accenture's recommendations.
- Manage internal ETL resources and serve as the main point of contact between our team and the SI vendor.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance throughout the migration process.
- Develop and enforce best practices for data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate cutover activities, including supporting two-week on-site periods as needed.
- Prepare presentations and status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring smooth go-live transitions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in ETL, data migration, and data management.
- Proven experience leading full-cycle SAP implementations with a focus on data migration.
- Hands-on expertise in Informatica (preferred) or similar ETL tools.
- Strong background in data governance, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Experience working with global SI vendors on large-scale data migrations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills - ability to create executive-level presentations.
- Previous experience as an ETL developer is a strong asset.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours (9-10 hour days) as needed.
- Based in Calgary or open to traveling for key milestones (e.g., cutovers, kickoffs).
