Hybrid - 2 days from home, 3 days in office on-site.

Job Purpose: Associate Category Manager supports activities focused on B2B sales growth, profitability and marketing efforts of an assigned product category. In this role, the ACM collaborates and strategizes with the Category Manager to drive portfolio growth and branding and support our sales organization. Building and maintaining relationships with both our internal and external customers will be an integral part of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Daily interaction with vendors as needed to meet business needs;

• Manage daily priority request queue from sales, purchasing and other departments;

• Lead product SKU creation including establishing market pricing and product content for our website;

• Review of online content for established and new vendors to ensure their products are accurately represented to drive sales;

• Participation in vendor meetings and business reviews;

• Collaboration with our purchasing team on vendor pricing discrepancies, product returns and excess inventory reduction initiatives;

• Maintain status of vendor rebate programs including tracking and billing of quarterly values;

• Provide competitive evaluation and ensure product offering and market price is in line with other industrial distributors and wholesalers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related discipline;

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in category management, marketing or a related field;

• Strong decision-making skills with an ability to lead and influence others to reach objectives;

• Organized, creative and analytical, with a strong attention to detail;

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);

• Able to work independently and in within a team;

• Possess strong communication skills and be able to create and deliver presentations. French / English bilingualism a definite asset;

• Can-do attitude with an appetite to learn and support in additional responsibilities, tasks and projects as required;

• Bilingual (French and English ), spoken and written. ( ) This qualification is required as you will be interacting with partners, vendors, internal/external clients and/or staff across Canada on a regular basis.
