Role Description

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to lead and work alongside our greenhouse labour team in the wholesale department. As the Greenhouse Labour Team Lead, you will take an active, hands-on role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily tasks while maintaining a positive team dynamic in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Job duties

• Oversee a crew of 3-7 people
• Collaborate on a daily basis with sales manager and growers in order to prepare for daily labour activities
• Delegate tasks and work alongside the team in various areas of the greenhouse throughout the day
• Motivate team members to foster a positive atmosphere
• Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time
• Labour tasks include: picking plants for orders, planting, packing orders, spacing plants, greenhouse cleaning tasks, etc.

Qualifications/skills

• Experience in greenhouse operations is a plus
• Leadership and team management skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of equipment and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to tolerate heat
