About the opportunity:
The Internal Communications & Community Relations Specialist is bilingual and will play a key role in driving Lactalis Canada's corporate communications strategy through internal communications and community relations to build a unified and engaged culture with a focus on the company's hourly employee workforce at its manufacturing and distribution facilities across Canada.
The attributes we are looking for:
- Owns a new digital screen program to drive further engagement with hourly employees. Responsibilities include creating and managing corporate communications content, training and liaising with site ambassadors on local content and ensuring integration with Viva Engage to further drive adoption and ensure consistency in messaging and cadence across all operating sites;
- Acts as the community manager for day-to-day management of Viva Engage, the company's all-employee platform. Responsibilities include content creation and management, community management, user training, reporting and administration to drive adoption and engagement;
- Writes and disseminates strong and compelling corporate communications, working with various internal stakeholders;
- Manages and executes a variety of corporate-led and community events with site teams, including, but not limited to the Lactalis Canada in the Community program;
- Oversees Lactalis Canada's Community Enrichment Fund program including program administration, governance, fulfilment, promotion and tracking and reporting;
- Supports key internal events including employee events and celebrations, annual Lactalis Canada Connect all-employee event, the annual Leadership Exchange Conference as well as community and ESG events, working in collaboration with cross-functional teams as applicable;
- Oversees initiatives and programs under Lactalis Canada's Community Strategy to build corporate reputation, maximize impact and ensure alignment with Lactalis Canada's purpose, values and ESG agenda. Responsibilities include reporting, stakeholder management and local media relations, as well as supporting all activities related to industry sponsorships and Lactalis Canada's corporate philanthropic partners Kids Help Phone and The Grocery Foundation;
- Identifies, tracks and drafts submissions for industry awards and recognition programs;
- Supports other cross-functional and/or communications-related projects and administrative tasks as required.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to adopt new technologies including Viva Engagement, CMS and analytics tools;
- Highly proactive, excellent judgment skills and problem-solving abilities with a knack for detail;
- Knowledge of the food/beverage and/or dairy industry is an asset;
- Ability to travel to sites as required (up to 30%) with valid driver's license;
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a requirement.
