We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a leading financial institution's Community Investment team, supporting the growth of their Foundation and social impact initiatives. This is a newly created role driven by the expansion of the Foundation, with an opportunity to influence long-term community investment strategies while supporting key financial functions.

As the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll report to the Executive Director of the Foundation and oversee the financial management, compliance, reporting, and forecasting activities. This includes preparing board reports, managing audits, working with investment officers, and supporting treasury and tax activities. You'll collaborate with senior leaders and community partners, contributing to meaningful initiatives that elevate the organization's ESG and social impact efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial management and planning for the Foundation, ensuring regulatory compliance and internal control.
  • Prepare financial statements, investment tracking, reconciliations, and forecasting.
  • Manage and maintain finance systems, board packages, and meeting materials.
  • Coordinate audits, tax filings, and liaise with external investment and tax partners.
  • Provide financial insights and contribute to strategic planning across departments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with organizational goals.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of financial management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial management within a Canadian nonprofit organization.
  • Strong proficiency with nonprofit financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Open to permanent conversion at a starting salary around $100,000 CAD.

Nice-to-Have:

  • CPA designation (or equivalent) preferred.
