POSITION OVERVIEW :
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Innovation Project Manager to lead the end-to-end development of new products at Handi Foods. In this role, you will oversee the innovation pipeline, champion the Stage Gate process, and guide cross-functional teams through each phase of development-from concept to launch.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our product portfolio while working closely with senior leadership and teams across R&D, Operations, Marketing, and more. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage Handi Foods' innovation and new product development (NPD) initiatives.
- Facilitate the Stage Gate process, ensuring effective execution of each phase.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including scope, timeline, and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical feasibility and requirements.
- Motivate teams and provide coaching to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
- Identify and address project risks, creating contingency plans to stay on track.
- Communicate project status and progress clearly and regularly across departments.
- Balance multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment with agility and focus.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience, ideally within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset.
- Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement credentials.
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Stage Gate methodology.
- Background in Operations, R&D, or similar functional areas is highly desirable.
- Proficient in MS Project and other project management tools
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and a collaborative approach.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hours: Part-time, with flexibility for extended hours during project milestones.
- Work Mode: Hybrid - remote work with in-office attendance required twice per week.
- Environment: Office-based with occasional visits to production facilities.
