Our client, a well-established and respected personal injury law firm in downtown Toronto, is looking to add a driven Associate Lawyer (2-5 years' experience) to their litigation team. The firm advocates for plaintiffs in a broad range of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, occupiers' liability, long-term disability, and catastrophic injury claims.
This is a great fit for someone who thrives in advocacy, builds strong client relationships, and is looking to develop a well-rounded litigation practice in a supportive, collaborative environment.
What You'll Be Doing
• Carry carriage of personal injury files from intake through to resolution
• Meet with clients, assess claims, and provide clear, compassionate legal advice
• Draft pleadings, motion records, mediation briefs, and trial documents
• Attend and advocate at discoveries, mediations, pre-trials, and hearings
• Collaborate with medical and liability experts to support case theory
• Negotiate settlements and develop litigation strategy with senior counsel
• Ensure files are organized and deadlines are met across all stages
What We're Looking For
• 2-5 years of experience in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• Solid understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure
• Strong drafting and advocacy skills
• Ability to run files with autonomy and team-based support
• Empathetic, client-focused, and solutions-oriented approach
