We're looking for a Digital Project Manager with a strong digital project management focus to join our clients collaborative and high-performing team. This role is supporting a range of internal clients, campaigns, and initiatives, with a heavy emphasis on project coordination, digital campaign execution, and stakeholder management.
In this Digital Project Manager role, you'll be the central driver of cross-functional coordination and timeline ownership across multiple concurrent projects. This contract hybrid role has an initial term of 6-months and is based downtown Edmonton, Alberta with a requirement of 50% in-office presence per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent marketing communications projects, including internal comms, digital campaigns, and event communications.
- Develop and manage workback schedules and ensure project deadlines are met in sprint cycles.
- Act as a liaison across business units, internal clients, and marketing specialists (editorial, social, design, web/SEO).
- Intake project briefs and translate them into clear action plans with milestones and responsibilities.
- Support paid and organic social media campaigns, and email marketing efforts using tools like Mailchimp or Higher Logic.
- Coordinate messaging and communications plans for internal events; partner with the events team to ensure alignment (note: logistics handled by a separate team).
- Use project management tools (e.g., Asana) to track timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder approvals.
- Provide insight into campaign performance through basic digital analytics-translating data into actionable takeaways for stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation, project plans, and status updates using tools like SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Work closely with peer marketing communication specialists and report to the interim Marketing Comms Manager.
What We're Looking For:
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications, project management, or digital campaign coordination (marketing agency experience a strong asset).
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong background in workback schedules, sprint cycles, and multi-stakeholder coordination.
- Experience using PM tools such as or Asana.
- Digital marketing experience, including support for email campaigns and social media (paid and organic).
- Comfortable interpreting campaign and email performance metrics; experience with SEO is not required but understanding how it connects is helpful.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus (no design work required-there is a design team).
- CPRS or IABC membership is a nice-to-have, but not required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
