Job Title: Commercial Construction Site Superintendent

Reports To: Project Manager / General Superintendent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Commercial Construction Site Superintendent to oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely and on time. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in commercial construction, excellent leadership skills, communication skills and the ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and building codes.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries.
• Monitor project timelines, and productivity targets.
• Conduct daily site inspections and safety meetings; enforce all safety protocols and procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager, architects, engineers, clients and other stakeholders.
• Review and understand blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Propose requests for information and follow site instructions.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports and site logs.
• Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts promptly and effectively.
• Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Oversee the usage and maintenance of construction equipment and tools.
• Ensure proper documentation of changes, incidents, and inspections.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial construction supervision is required.
• New build experience is required
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with AutoDesk and Bluebeam.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor construction sites with exposure to weather conditions.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• May require travel between project sites.
