As their operations continue to grow, they are seeking a Director of Operations to lead one of their multiple manufacturing facilities in the GTA. This executive role offers a high-impact opportunity to lead all aspects of production and operations within a high-performing and innovation-driven team.
Position Overview:
The Director of Operations is responsible for the full scope of production activities at the facility, overseeing daily operations and managing multiple cross-functional teams. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this position is part of the senior leadership team and plays a pivotal role in shaping operational strategy, driving process efficiency, and supporting organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of daily manufacturing operations, ensuring performance aligns with budget and business goals.
- Develop and monitor production KPIs, driving accountability and operational excellence.
- Oversee scheduling and resource planning to ensure on-time delivery.
- Develop and implement best practices to improve workflow, reduce costs, and maximize efficiency.
- Foster collaboration across departments (Sales, Planning, Estimating) to meet customer requirements.
- Coach and develop staff through cross-training, personal development plans, and performance management.
- Monitor equipment efficiency, evaluate new technology, and recommend improvements.
- Participate in budget planning and business forecasting activities.
- Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with OHSA and internal health & safety standards.
- Promote a positive and respectful work environment; resolve team issues constructively.

Qualifications:
- 7-10 years in senior manufacturing leadership, preferably in print
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Communications or a related manufacturing discipline

- Comfortable working in high-volume, high-speed manufacturing environments
