Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Estimator based in Langley, BC. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with various departments to ensure project success. Daily tasks include reviewing project plans and specifications, soliciting bids from subcontractors, and compiling detailed cost analysis. The Estimator will also contribute to value engineering initiatives and provide support during project negotiations.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in cost estimation
• Experience in reviewing project plans and specifications
• Ability to solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors
• Know the importance of building strong relationships with vendors.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools, specifically SAGE
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving abilities
• Previous experience in the commercial construction industry, QSR and Franchise Tenant Improvement, Design Builds, Industrial Tilt-Ups, Commercial and Multi-Residential projects
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or min (5) years experience.
