The opportunity

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Mortgage Administrator specializing in Manual Mortgage Documentation to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to review all mortgage-related documents required for a residential mortgage to ensure documents received are in good order and in accordance with the Bank's Residential Mortgage Underwriting Policies and Standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing mortgage documents under tight deadlines, ensuring all information is precise and compliant with regulatory standards. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with our underwriting and sales teams to facilitate a smooth mortgage process for our clients

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review mortgage documentation manually to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Review all mortgage-related documents required for a residential mortgage to ensure they are in good order and adhere to the Bank's Residential Mortgage Underwriting Policies and Standards.

• Work under tight timelines to meet documentation deadlines.

• Communicate effectively with underwriting and sales teams to gather necessary information and clarify requirements.

• Ensure all documentation adheres to company policies, regulatory guidelines, and the Bank's mortgage products, credit policies, and compliance regulations.

• Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to mortgage documentation.

• Maintain organized records and files for easy access and reference.

• Provide exceptional support to both internal teams and clients as needed.

This role reports directly to the Supervisor of Mortgage Funding. As a Mortgage Administrator, your meticulous attention to detail and efficient handling of mortgage documentation significantly impacts the ease of service for our clients, ensuring a smooth and satisfactory mortgage process. Additionally, your collaboration with underwriting and sales teams helps drive new sales for the bank, contributing to our overall growth and success.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1. 3+ years previous experience in mortgage administration or a similar role.

2. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

4. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

5. Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for document preparation and management.

6. General Knowledeg of the Bank's mortgage products, underwriting of a mortgage, credit policies, and compliance regulations to ensure all residential mortgages are set up in accordance with the policies and the bank's interest in the property is protected.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1. Knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and compliance standards

Education:

• Bachelor's degree is not required, looking for someone with the right experience
